✔️ Common Side Effects

Gastrointestinal: Diarrhea, constipation, nausea, bloating

Skin: Rash, urticaria, hypersensitivity reactions

Liver: Elevated liver enzymes (AST, ALT, ALP, γ-GTP), jaundice, abnormal liver function tests

Others: Edema, eosinophilia, fatigue

Rare but serious:

Anaphylactic reactions

Drug eruption

✔️ Dosage & Administration

Gastric Ulcer:

• 20 mg once daily for 8 weeks

Duodenal Ulcer:

• 20 mg once daily for 6 weeks

Reflux Esophagitis:

• 20 mg once daily for 4–8 weeks, based on response

Maintenance therapy: 10 mg once daily (can be increased to 20 mg if needed)

Ulcer Prevention with NSAIDs or Aspirin:

• 10 mg once daily

H. pylori Eradication Therapy:

First-line regimen (7 days):

• Vonliv 20 mg + Amoxicillin 750 mg + Clarithromycin 200–400 mg, all taken twice daily

Second-line regimen (7 days) for clarithromycin failure:

• Vonliv 20 mg + Amoxicillin 750 mg + Metronidazole 250 mg, all taken twice daily

Elderly:

• Use with caution due to the potential decline in hepatic or renal function

Children (<18 years):

Safety and efficacy not established; not recommended

Renal Impairment:

• Mild to Moderate (eGFR 30–89 mL/min): No dose adjustment required
• Severe (eGFR <30 mL/min): Avoid use

Hepatic Impairment:

• Mild (Child-Pugh A): No adjustment needed
• Moderate to Severe (Child-Pugh B or C): Avoid use

Administration Note:
Vonliv can be taken with or without food. Take at the same time daily for optimal effect.

✔️ Management of Gastrointestinal problems such as:

• GERD and its signs, like heartburn, acidity, iand ndigestion
• Reflux or erosive esophagitis
• Stomach ulcers and duodenal ulcers
• Adjunctive therapy for H. pylori infection in combination with antibiotics

✔️ Contraindications

Known hypersensitivity to Vonoprazan or its excipients

Concomitant use with:

• Atazanavir sulfate
• Nelfinavir
• Rilpivirine hydrochloride

✔️ Pregnancy & Lactation

Pregnancy: Use only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus

Lactation: Not recommended during breastfeeding. If necessary, discontinue nursing during treatment

✔️ Precautions & Warnings

• Limit treatment duration to the shortest effective period based on the disease condition
• Long-term use should be monitored via endoscopy if necessary
• Maintenance therapy for reflux esophagitis should only be used in patients with recurrent or relapsing disease
• Consider dose reduction (from 20 mg to 10 mg) or cessation once healing is sustained
